Beef Carpaccio
Beef carpaccio is an Italian appetizer consisting of paper-thin slices of raw beef tenderloin, typically drizzled with olive oil, lemon juice, and capers. It was invented at Harry's Bar in Venice in the 1950s and named after the Renaissance painter Vittore Carpaccio. The dish showcases the quality of the meat and is often garnished with arugula and shaved Parmesan.
